Progressing Ballet Technique was developed by Marie Walton-Mahon. It encourages students to understand the importance and depth of muscle memory within dance training. PBT looks at using yoga and small balls to improve core stability, weight placement and alignment. Individual focuses are placed on each exercise to improve strength through repetition. PBT runs alongside classic ballet training and allows students to apply the techniques learnt to their syllabus classes, whilst improving a students technical ability.
