Dear Elite families,
It’s been a while since we were all together, but it’s fantastic that so many of you have joined our online classes. I hope you are keeping well, active and motivated! I want to tell you about a super exciting project we can work on together from our homes.
We’re going to attempt a Guinness World Record on Wednesday 06th May for the ‘Most Viewed dance class on YouTube in 24 hours’.
Here’s how it works
Register your interest here at www.doneforyoudance.co.uk/dance-breakout. On the 06th May when the class goes live on YouTube at 9am, all registrants will receive the link to the video. From the moment the video is uploaded we have 24 hours to beat 2,000 views and set the new World Record!
Everyone can view the livestreamed lesson on YouTube from their own device in their own home, as well as share the link online. Each device (tablet, iPad, mobile phone, laptop) counts as a separate view so if your whole household is going to take part, it would be great if each person could watch it on their own device.
Won’t it be amazing to take part in something on this scale?! Here’s what you can do to get involved…
Spread the word! Tell everyone you know about our record attempt and encourage them to sign up in advance. On the day (06th May), share the YouTube link on social media, and tell your friends and relatives to do the same!
Sponsorship! We hope to raise money for the NHS Charities COVID-19 Appeal and you can encourage family and friends to donate by clicking the following link www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/dancebreakout2020
It costs us money to arrange a formal Guinness World Record attempt, and whilst it’s free for you to take part, we do need help to meet the costs of the event. So, if you know of anyone who might be interested in supporting us financially or helping us raise the profile of this event in the media, please let me know!
