Elite Dance Bicester consists of a team of competent, committed and experienced teachers. Allow us to introduce them to you on this page.
At a young age, dance captured my heart and has continued to inspire me since. It has always been my dream to have my own dance studio and share my passion for dance with others.
My dream is to make dance accessible for everyone and have an inclusive studio that opens up opportunities for hundreds of students.
With over 300 students that have attended the school, I'm overjoyed to be sharing the joy of dance with the dancers of the future to inspire my pupils.
I am so lucky to have a job that I truly love and that I can also share with my own children as well as yours.
Dance has given me the most amazing opportunites and my hope is that my pupils look back as adults with pride over their achievements in dance whether they choose to pursue it as a career or just as a hobby.
Sarah Moore- Branch Manager
I started modern dance when I was 6 years old, and was a student at the same dance school throughout my childhood, qualifying as a teacher there after my sixth form years.
For the first 7 years of my career I worked there, and set up private dance clubs at primary schools in my area, which enabled me to get more involved in provision of dance tuition to local children. When I moved to Oxfordshire in 2017, I was delighted to join the Elite Dance team.
Good dance classes encourage our children to grow in confidence. We praise them for their progress and help them to learn new skills in a supportive environment.
Our children and young people are in an education system where they are measured against academic targets. Elite's dance classes offer a safe space for them to leave the worry of school behind, and to find a way to release their stress and to keep fit at the same time.
Pastoral care is important to us, and it is a privilege to be involved in the emotional and physical development of the students at the school. We hope all our dancers have fun and benefit from progressing through the school into the role models the little ones look up to, just as we have done.
Dance has been part of my life since a young age, and my years of training encompasses a variety of styles. Since the age of 4 I've been performing in shows with a variety of youth companies too, and I remain very involved in Musicial Theatre.
In recent years I have been studying for my BA in Dance from the University of Chichester, and I will graduate with Honours in August! Throughout my degree I focussed my choices on dance teaching routes, through which I have gained a wealth of understanding of dance education.
At present I work as a freelance teacher, working with a range of ages across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. I am thoroughly excited to start teaching at Elite and look forward to sharing my love of dance and musical theatre here!
In August 2019 I began working as an acting teacher for students aged 7-18 at a Saturday stage school in Worcester. I joined them from their first day of business, and helped to grow their pupil numbers by delivering group sessions to three age categories. I focus on skills for stage and screen, and help to build a foundation of knowledge for young actors in a fun, upbeat environment.
I also currently work as a freelance model and actress, and have completed a 6-month No.1 UK Theatre Tour.
Prior to summer 2019 I worked with Frenzy Youth Theatre, teaching the 4-7 age group. The main focus of my lessons was encouraging the children to use their imagination through storytelling and games.
I have been a freelance LAMDA teacher on and off since leaving drama school in 2017. I've taught students preparing for LAMDA examinations, as well as students who wanted to improve their confidence in public speaking at business meetings.
I was awarded a First Class Honours Degree from the Rose Bruford College of Theatre & Performance in London. During my time at Rose Bruford, I gained experience teaching creative movement in a SEN school, and I began teaching LAMDA and public speaking during my final year.
Whilst in the Sixth Form at the Royal Grammar School Worcester, I assisted my LAMDA teacher with her weekly lessons for grade 1-3. I finished school with A-Levels in Drama (A*), English Literature (A) and Classical Civilisation (A).
~ Sam is taking a break for this dance season. We look forward to having him back later in 2020! ~
At the age of 18 months old I started dancing, and I have been performing since the age of 4.
I am trained in a wide variety of dance styles, including Freestyle Disco, Rock ’n’ Roll, Ballroom, Latin, Ballet, Tap and Contemporary.
By the time I went to the University of Central Lancashire (Preston) to study for my BA(Hons) in Dance Performance and Teaching, I had already been competing at a national level for 10 years.
After graduating, I went on to complete an MA in Dance at Bath Spa University. During this time, I was involved in making new screendances/performances.
I have a real enthusiasm for choreography and teaching, and I am now working as a dance and movement artist. I am delighted to have been granted advisor status for the Arts Award at the first 4 levels.
